Pilates and V Pilates Studio's approach
Benefits of Mat or Equipment Pilates at V Pilates Studio :
Improves flexibility and hydration within our tissues .
Movements release tension and blockages in the Fascial web, (an elastic connective tissue of interconnectedness throughout the body from head to toe).
Improves core strength from integrated movement.
Improves overall posture and alignment.
Increases body awareness and proprioception.
Relieves stress and tension through breath and mindful movements..
Reinforces strong yet mobile joints.
Builds better balance, adaptability and resilience.
And an overall sense of well being
Using the Pilates repertoire and its concepts helps each individual understand the bio-mechanics of movements, integration of the whole body experience and interconnectedness of the map of myo-fascial slings and therefore alignment and congruency of joints that supports the natural design of each individual body. A ‘well organised’ and integrally strong from the interwoven inside out. It’s not just about the core- that’s only part of the bigger picture.

Studio Equipment classes using the specialist apparatus: Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel and props. The system of springs allows for both support and challenge to enhance learning and the awareness of how your body is moving in space. Studio Equipment apparatus classes offer a higher level of individual attention. For certain medical conditions, apparatus-based pilates may be more suitable, as the equipment and smaller class size means an exercise programme can be tailored to your individual needs.
